The story behind the work…

Kyle Hoffman is a hunter. His prey: photographs. For years, he’ll envision the images. Eventually, he gets the opportunity.

We summited Volcán de Fuego, one of the most active volcanos in the world, to capture one of these images: a photograph of the volcano erupting at night with the stars in full glory behind it.

More than that, this is a love letter to Kyle's late parents, Stan and Vicki Hoffman. Stan, an adventurous mountaineer, and Vicki, a caring art teacher, shaped Kyle into the empathetic, talented man he is. This film is a tribute to them and their memory.

It was a privilege to tell Kyle’s story. The film continues to touch lives around the world as Kyle keeps hunting.
